Events, updates and announcements
Apart from playing tennis, our members engage in a number of social activities together. And as we are a non profit club we greatly appreciate the generosity of our donors and sponsors. Tennis Canada in particular has been incredibly supportive, kindly donating products and inviting us each year to both the Fischer U18 national finals and the National Bank Open. These events are a highlight of the year, inspiring our kids and providing our families with an incredible experience to share together.

This year’s National Bank Open was an unforgettable experience for our young players!
The event far exceeded expectations — so many parents have shared photos and messages about what an incredible time their kids had. The atmosphere was electric, and the Tennis Canada Village was once again a huge hit, packed with fun activities, games, and interactive stations that kept everyone smiling between matches. For our young team members who just started competing in tournaments this year, the experience was especially inspiring. They watched their tennis heroes up close, studied their techniques, and came back to practice bursting with motivation. Many proudly returned with new favourite players, treasured autographs, and stories they’ll never forget. We’re so grateful to Tennis Canada for making this opportunity possible — and a special thank-you to our dear friend Marie Davies for her incredible generosity and support.
Our kids' first tournaments!! (2025)
Well they did it! Over the past two weeks some of our girls and boys competed in their first official OTA junior tournament. Pictured below are our kids at the U12 in Vaughan, the U10 at Toronto Tennis City and the U10 at Martingrove. They did an amazing job and gained tremendous experience that they can build upon as they move forward in their young tennis careers. And their proud parents were there to cheer them on (and pace nervously) during this milestone event. Go KOURT!
Annual club trip to Fischer National U18 Tennis Championships (2025)
Tennis Canada was once again kind enough to invite us to the U18 National Championships and as always they treated us amazingly. The kids had super fun day of activities and were really inspired by the performances of the competitors. Afterward they got autographs and pictures with these rising stars. They were even kind enough to talk personally with our kids and to offer them thoughtful words of advice based upon their own childhood experiences with tennis. It is clear that the future of Canadian is in the hands of some really good people, who also happen to be exceptional athletes. We look forward to following them as they embark upon their professional tennis journeys.
Trip to the Museum of Illusions
Our kids a thrilling albeit disorienting time at our trip to the Museum of Illusions. Thanks to Mihir and the staff there for making it such a memorable day.

Well, Marie and Tennis Canada did it again! Thanks to their generosity our kids enjoyed a week of tennis and other super fun activities at the 2024 National Bank Open in Toronto. Some of their pictures say it all.

Gatorade from Tennis Canada
Tennis Canada has kindly donated us a big load of gatorade that we will be using at our practices this summer as well as at various special events. Not to worry, we appreciate that some of you might be concerned regarding the sugar content and so we have been discussing the purpose of sport drinks with the kids and pouring it into smaller cup portions. On that note, please be sure to bring a cup to the practices in case we bring it out as we wish to end the use of disposable cups in order to be more environmentally friendly.
Annual club trip to Under 18 Fischer National Finals (2024)
Our trip to the U18 National Finals was an incredible. Our kids not only enjoyed two amazing boys and girls finals, but got a tour of the entire Tennis Canada facility including the private pro player only areas. Afterward they got pizza and refreshments and were actually invited to go out on the courts to play . It was an unforgettable day and we want to take this opportunity to thanks Tennis Canada and Marie Davies (the Manager of National Events) in particular. She was simply amazing!
