KOURT Summer Tennis Camps For Kids
With Pickleball, Futsal & Basketball
Our Program and Philosophy
Our camps are designed to help kids develop and refine their tennis skills in a fun, inclusive, and supportive environment. Our program emphasizes friendship, confidence, and community, ensuring that every child feels welcomed, supported, and encouraged throughout their time at camp.
Alongside daily tennis instruction, campers also participate in pickleball, basketball, and futsal. Exposure to a variety of sports is incredibly valuable for young athletes. Not only does it strengthen overall physical literacy, but many of these skills transfer directly back onto the tennis court.
Pickleball helps develop hand-eye coordination, faster reflexes, and quick decision-making through its fast-paced rallies, while futsal is especially effective for building agility, balance and footwork. Basketball also enhances hand-eye coordination and reaction time alongside of spatial awareness, and overall proprioception. Together, these sports help children become more well-rounded athletes while supporting their development in tennis in particular.
Beyond athletic development, participating in multiple sports enriches children’s lives by exposing them to new experiences, friendships, and opportunities for personal growth. Our goal is not only to help kids improve in tennis and pickleball, but to foster a lifelong love of sport, movement, and active living — whether they ultimately pursue tennis, pickleball, soccer, basketball, or any other activity.
Locations
Our summer camps are offered both downtown and in the east end of Toronto. For details regarding the downtown location at Harbord Collegiate Institute click on the link below
Our east end location for the camp is St. Patrick Catholic Secondary School. As shown below, we play on the courts at the rear of the property.
Age Groups
Classes are divided according to age: one class for those aged 6-9 years old, and another for those aged 9 to 13 years. A 5 year old child may be allowed to register but only after consultation with us to ensure that they have a baselines level of skill and maturity; for example, a reasonable ability to manage emotions and to remain focused during practices. If you would like to inquire about the eligibility of your 5 year old contact us through the link below.
Children in the younger group (6 to 9 yrs) will be using either red and orange tennis balls, depending upon the skill level of the individual campers in attendance, and the older group (9 to 12 yrs) will use either green dot or regular yellow balls.
Morning or Afternoon Sessions
Both age groups will have the choice of a morning session (9 am to 12 pm) or afternoon session (12:30 pm to 3:30 pm). They may also attend for the full day by registering for both morning and afternoon sessions in which case a supervised 30 minute lunch period will also be included; however, campers do need to bring their own food and beverages.
